Develop Local Villages

Time has passed since the dreadful earthquake occurred of April 2015. It was the deadliest day for the Nepalese people. Hundreds of thousands of people were made homeless. Entire villages were flattened. Many local houses, schools and health posts were partially destroyed or completely collapsed across several districts. The entire Everest region was hit hard. Many children and their parents are still bound to sleep outside, or under makeshift tents or tarps, afraid of going back into their damaged homes. Most of the villagers are still to this day financially weak and are working hard to rebuild safety and security. On top of that, most people are still under the pressure to find a stable employment in the region.

Everest Aid, in conjunction with Trek Himalayan.com, has been raising funds to build permanent shelters in the earthquake- affected villages in the Everest region. We are still promoting to encourage trekkers and climbers to return to one of the world’s greatest wonders. Please join us in our effort to raise funds to develop local villages in the Everest region in Nepal.
