Ganesh Tamang
Ganash Tamang and his brother Sures are ready to help carry supplies to the damaged areas on the trail to Everest. They are men of great strength and stamina. However, like many Sherpa people, they are dependent upon the local potato fields, which provide most of their meals. And most of the fields are in peril. Homes of the potato farmers are devastated. Ganash’s and Sures’ livelihoods, like those of so many others, depend upon the trekking business, which has collapsed as a result of the earthquake.
